THE ROLE Under the direction of a Financial Reporting Supervisor
and Manager, perform financial reporting work with respect to an
assigned number of mutual funds. Reviews the financial reporting
audit proofs provided by the custodian and incorporates such
information into the financial statements of the funds. Prepares
financial statements for shareholder reports in accordance with
generally accepted accounting principles. Prepares and/or reviews
other required shareholder communications such as prospectus and
SAI as well as regulatory reports such as Form 24f-2. WHAT YOU WILL
DO
- Applies basic and some specialized knowledge with respect to
assigned mutual funds.
- Receives limited supervision on day-to-day activities and more
direct supervision on projects and special assignments.
- Participates in departmental projects.
- Follows standard procedures requiring some interpretation.
Complies with departmental/company policies.
- Resolves day-to-day problems within established
guidelines.
- Ensures assigned funds' deadlines are met and issues are
elevated to Supervisor or Manager in a timely manner.
- Provides coverage for absent team members and during busy
periods.
- Prepares drafts of the portfolio of investments, financial
statements, and footnotes included in shareholder reports for
selected mutual funds accurately and completely. Reviews proofs of
financial reports prior to release for printing.
- Prepares the financial reporting information for the prospectus
and SAI accurately and completely and reviews the documents.
- Prepares Form 24f-2 filings accurately and completely.
- Helps facilitate responses to auditor questions, comments and
audit issues to assure that fund audits are completed on time.
Helps facilitate responses to questions and comments from the
Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, Financial Reporting Manager, and
other interested parties to assure certification of the funds. WHAT

- Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience in the
mutual fund or securities industry.
- Minimum of 0-1+ years related experience preferred.
- Experience working in an environment where production,
controls, and daily deadlines are required. PREFERRED:
- Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles is
desirable.
- Strong attention to detail. Solid analytical, organizational,
interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Ability to take initiative/self-starter.
