About the Opportunity About the Opportunity: The Psychology
Department at Northeastern University (

Full-time Non-tenured Track Assistant Teaching Professor position
to start Fall 2026. This is a one-year appointment, which can be
renewable. Review of applications will begin on January 15, 2026,
and will continue until the position is filled. Questions may be

Cisewski, d.cisewski@northeastern.edu . Responsibilities: The
selected individual will have two main sets of responsibilities.
The first set of responsibilities is to teach undergraduate courses
offered by the Psychology Department. Particularly, we are seeking
individuals who can teach a breadth of undergraduate courses,
especially in the areas of social and personality psychology. The
number of courses to be taught each year, and the topic areas of
the courses will be determined by the department chair, taking into
account the individual’s area of expertise and departmental need.
The second set of responsibilities is to provide support for all
aspects of the undergraduate program, working closely with the
department’s Head Advisor and Director of Undergraduate Studies.
Specific activities will include, for example, advising students,
providing administrative support for registration and course
approval processes, and helping to organize welcome days for
prospective students, new student orientations, and graduation
ceremonies. Qualifications: Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology or
related field by the appointment start date, and a commitment to
teaching excellence at the university level. The successful
candidate will generally be available to participate in such
activities when scheduled on evenings and weekends. Documents to

and/or your future plans detailing your leadership style, how you
intend to cultivate a culture that promotes a sense of belonging,
including fostering a free and open exchange of ideas and managing
different perspectives to help others strengthen their practice.

Professor: $75,000.00 - $84,000.00 With the pay range(s) shown
above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which
