Job Description:
The primary objective of this role is to oversee all IT
technical project activities across architects, technical analysts,
developers, application administrators, and all other technical
team members for the IT Portfolio organizations to ensure the
successful completion of all technical aspects of projects that
ensure Point32Healths business applications function successfully
and enabling the organizations continued, successful business
operations. This role acts as the liaison for the technical team
assigned to the project for IT Portfolio Office, coordinating and
communicating the technical teams activities with responsibility
for the day-to-day management of technical project activities to
ensure the successful completion of project deliverables. Key

- Ensures that work assignments are clearly communicated
- Collects and reports project status updates on work
assignments
- Defines resource needs within the project
- Works with team members to address and report project issues in
a proactive manner
- Manages technical project documentation, ensuring that all
documentation is completed and distributed in a timely manner. The
Functional Manager is responsible for accurate, thorough, and
updated code reviews, requirement documents and design documents.
Collaborate with the project manager and functional manager on
work/resource requirement estimation. Keeps IT project manager well
informed of status of development effort and serves as liaison
between development staff and project manager and/or client across
multiple projects.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES EDUCATION: (Minimum
education & certifications required)
- Advanced degree in a Business or Computer Science related field
preferred with 5-10 years experience in a related field, which
includes 6-10 years in a project management role leading
cross-functional projects teams. EXPERIENCE:
- Competent in the use of project management software tools
(MSOffice, MSProject) for project planning, monitoring and
reporting;
- Possesses a strong understanding of project management
techniques and tools, including;
- Schedule development and management;
- Scope management;
- Task dependencies;
- Risk assessment;
- Communication (gathering & disseminating);
- Coordinating Resources estimation. SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires a high level of competency with applying project
management techniques, tools and methods, risk assessment,
communication planning, resource estimating and the use of the
MSProject and MSOffice suite of products.
- Strong organizational skills, detail orientation, and the
ability to multi-task are required to be successful in this role,
which requires an ability to manage multiple, high-priority,
complex issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Possesses strong communication skills and ability to
communicate effectively with business and technical project teams
in a high pressure environment.

- Strong follow-up skills that are employed to document issues,
keep IT PM, business when applicable, technical team members and
management updated, and ensure that assigned activities are
completed in a timely manner.
- Knowledgeable on the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
including an ability to apply SDLC methodologies such as Waterfall,
Agile, SCRUM, etc. to deliver projects at Tufts HP.
- Technical acumen and aptitude combined with an understanding of
the business and business workflows and systems.
- Requires the ability to successfully lead in a matrix
environment which includes flexibility, relationship building,
professional accountability and the ability to communicate at all
levels required to support the various reporting relationships in a
professional manner. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
- Possesses excellent leadership, written and oral communication
skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both business
(non-technical) and technical project team members.
- Strong presentation skills, ability to articulate project
updates and broaden understanding of the technical aspects of the
project to a variety of audiences.
- Demonstrates leadership by actively reflecting the customer
service philosophy of THP in all interactions within the
organization. This requires the building of quality client
relationships based on integrity and trust, collaboration and
mutual respect.
- Ability to work cooperatively as a team member. This position
requires excellent interpersonal skills to allow effective
interaction with all members of IS and across THP COMPLEXITY:
- High level understanding of user interface design, logical
database design, web services, EDI HIPAA transactions and detailed
application analysis is desired to effectively interact with
technical team members MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This person must be able to handle multiple demands in a fast
