Job Description:
Researches and builds scalable Artificial Intelligence (AI) and
Machine Learning (ML) algorithms -- deep and reinforcement learning
-- to improve customer experiences and drive business results.
Drives to completion large-scale AI projects involving
multi-dimensional databases, complex business infrastructure, model
evaluation, tuning and performance, and operationalization and
scalability of scientific techniques. Establishes decision
strategies, using Python, Spark, Scala, R, SQL, and MatLab. Uses
business knowledge to perform project management for technology
projects. Works with end-users to coordinate product development
and support. Acts as a primary liaison for business units to
resolve various project/technology issues. Establishes full project
life cycle plans for one or more complex projects. Primary Responsibilities: Elicits, captures, and interprets customer problems from
multiple perspectives across projects or within a program. Presents implications and recommendations with a strategic
perspective influencing project parameters and outcomes. Establishes and project manages analysis plans for multiple and
moderately complex work steams. Manages to the estimation, planning, analysis, design, and
development of projects. Holds accountability for integration into larger,
multi-disciplined projects, as appropriate. Partners with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize
top AI opportunities, create business and technical requirements,
and transform large volumes of data into AI-driven solutions using
open source methods and technologies. Leads ML strategy and road map planning. Works across teams to influence and lead the direction of
external teams. Develops supervised and unsupervised ML algorithms --
regression, decision trees and random forest, neural networks,
feature selection and reduction, clustering, and parameter
tuning. Analyzes and interprets statistical data to identify significant
differences in relationships among sources of information. Identifies relationships and trends in data and factors that
could affect the results of research. Determines whether statistical methods are appropriate, based on
user needs or research questions of interest. Prepares data for processing by organizing information, checking
for inaccuracies, and adjusting and weighting the raw data. Develops or applies mathematical or statistical theory and
methods to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize numerical
data to provide usable information. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years
of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience
prototyping and deploying Machine Learning (ML) solutions for
institutional clients into production environments according to
Agile methodologies. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered
or three (3) years of experience prototyping and deploying Machine
Learning (ML) solutions for institutional clients into production
environments according to Agile methodologies. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) analyzing and evaluating Machine or
Deep Learning (ML or DL) models in online advertising (clickstream
data, Adobe, and Google analytics), recommender systems (Bayesian
models, collaborative systems, and reinforcement learning), and
user behavior applications (neural network classifiers and RNNs),
using R, Python, or C++; writing production-level code to achieve
greater performance using Luigi Pipeline Framework and PEP 8 coding
standards; and prototyping and deploying ML solutions, using
experimentation design and GLM. DE liaising with business, product, and engineering stakeholder
teams to analyze institutional clients business requirements --
converting requirements to ML/Artificial Intelligence (AI)
solutions and assessing the impact of ML/AI solutions using
experimentation design; and communicating revenue or cost saving
benefits to senior leadership and external institutions. DE executing data science projects across computing environments
-- Linux, Oracle/SQL, Greenplum/Postgres, and Hadoop; developing ML
models -- supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning --
in Python with data science libraries and DL and Web frameworks
(NLTK, SciPy, Scikit-Learn, NumPy, AWS SageMaker, Pandas,
TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Django; and developing data pipelines on
Amazon Web Services (AWS), GCP, and On-Premise computing in large
financial services environments. DE managing end-to-end data science and ML projects -- building
versus buy decisions involving large-scale, multi-dimensional, and
big-data databases and data lake technology (Snowflake), complex
business infrastructure, and cross-functional teams; and developing
AI/ML solutions designed for large institutional clients -- banks,
RIAs, and BDs -- according to enterprise architecture
guidelines. For full job details and to apply, please visit
