Scrub Tech- Newport, VT Location : Newport, VT 05855 Project
Duration : 3 months contract/ 13 weeks Shift : 7:00am-3:30pm,
Monday – Friday/ Day shifts Job Description: Job Summary: We are
seeking skilled and reliable Scrub Technologists to join the
Surgical Services team in a dynamic and supportive healthcare
environment. The Scrub Tech is a vital member of the perioperative
team, assisting in surgical procedures by maintaining a sterile
field, preparing instruments, and supporting the surgical team
during operations. Responsibilities: · Prepare operating rooms for
surgery, ensuring all instruments and supplies are sterile and
available. · Assist surgeons and other medical professionals during
procedures by passing instruments and anticipating needs. ·
Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques to ensure patient
safety. · Participate in department education and quality
initiatives. · Take part in an on-call rotation as required by the
department. Core Competencies: · Graduate of an accredited Surgical
Technology program. · Certification preferred but not mandatory
(depending on facility standards). · American Heart Association BLS
certification required. · Previous OR or scrub tech experience
preferred. · Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented,
fast-paced surgical setting.
