Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVOR Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Cardiovascular Surgery Job Details: • Work in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) on 2nd floor of main building • Unit has 3 OR suites with 11 total staff members • Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 3-4 RNs, 2 scrub techs, 1 aide or anesthesia tech • Night shift consists of 3-member call team • Patient ratio of 3 staff members per OR • Call requirement approximately one weekend per month and 2-3 days per week • 30-minute call back time requirement • Must have cardiac, vascular, and thoracic operating room experience • Must demonstrate punctuality and flexible scheduling • Ability to scrub cardiac and vascular cases preferred • Experience with Meditech EMR preferred • Typical procedures include CABG, valves, TAVR, EVAR, TEVAR, carotid endarterectomy, fistula creation/interventions, VATS, thoracotomy, fem-pop bypass, angiograms with interventions, LVAD, RVAD, ECMO • Provides Level 2 trauma coverage for all vascular and thoracic procedures • Work with open heart, vascular, and thoracic equipment • Scrubs provided by facility • Time off requests must be included in contract • 3-person on-call team every night consisting of 2 RNs and 1 scrub technician Facility: This regional medical center features a specialized cardiovascular operating room department with 3 dedicated OR suites. The cardiovascular surgery program handles complex cardiac, vascular, and thoracic procedures including trauma cases, utilizing advanced equipment and maintaining high standards of patient care in a collaborative team setting.
