to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Portland, Maine, 04102! Job
Title: Registered Nurse - Telemetry Profession: Registered Nurse
Specialty: Float Pool Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7P-7A Hours per
Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Must-Have: Charge RN experience desired; Medical/Surgical/Telemetry
experience Description: ASAP start needed. Manager interviews will
be conducted. ACLS certification is required. BLS certification is
required. Charge RN experience is desired if possible. Candidates
should have Medical/Surgical/Telemetry experience. Every other
weekend commitment is required. The facility has 200 licensed beds.
Patient types include adults only. Common diagnoses are CHF, COPD,
stroke, IVDA, ETOH withdrawal, cellulitis, abdominal pain,
myocardial infarction, electrolyte imbalances, diabetes,
post-operative joints, urological, spines, vascular, general
abdominal, GYN, and breast. Patient ratios are RN: 1:4/5 during the
day and 1:5/6 at night. Intermediate care ratio is RN: 1:3.
Required skills include cardiac drip management for Heparin and
Diltiazem. Candidates must be proficient in cardiac rhythm
interpretation, IV starts, management of chest tubes, trach care,
and central line/PICC line care. Support on the unit includes a
Charge RN available Monday to Friday on days, with assignments
taken on weekends and nights. CNA staff varies based on census.
Respiratory Therapy is available 24/7. Hospitalist coverage is
available 24/7. An intensivist is available for consult 24/7.
Technology includes EMR and GE monitors. Staff may float to
surgical, medical, telemetry, observation units, and intermediate
care. The scheduling cycle is approximately every four weeks.
Weekend rotation is required every other weekend, including Friday,
Saturday, and Sunday. Call may be required if census drops. Holiday
expectations are required and scheduled as needed. Scrub color must
