qualified OR RN in Stowe, Vermont, 05672! Operating Room Circulator
Registered Nurse (RN) Morrisville/Stowe, VT Position Overview The
Operating Room Circulator RN provides perioperative nursing care by
coordinating and managing patient care before, during, and after
surgical procedures in an acute care setting. This role ensures
patient safety, maintains a sterile environment, and collaborates
with the surgical team to support optimal surgical outcomes.
Location & Schedule Location: Morrisville/Stowe, VT Shifts: Days
and evenings Scheduling options: 4 10s: 7:00 AM 5:30 PM or 8:00 AM
6:30 PM 5 8s: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM, 9:00 AM 5:30 PM, or 10:00 AM 6:30 PM
On-call: 1 weeknight per week and every 5th weekend Key
Responsibilities Serve as the circulating RN for surgical
procedures across various specialties. Prepare operating rooms and
ensure appropriate equipment, instruments, and supplies are
available and functioning. Coordinate patient care throughout the
perioperative process, including pre-op, intra-op, and post-op
phases. Maintain sterile technique and adhere to all surgical
safety and infection prevention protocols. Communicate effectively
with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff to anticipate
needs and support workflow. Document perioperative assessments,
interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
Participate in the on-call rotation per schedule requirements.
Required Qualifications & Skills Active, unrestricted RN license. 2
5 years of nursing experience; prior Operating Room/Circulator
experience preferred. BLS required; ACLS preferred. Bachelor s
degree in Nursing (BSN) required. Ability to work varied and
rotating shifts, including on-call. Strong organizational, critical
thinking, and communication skills. Ability to function effectively
in a fast-paced surgical environment and manage multiple
priorities. Core Competencies Perioperative nursing expertise and
adherence to evidence-based practice. Strong attention to detail
and commitment to patient safety. Effective team collaboration with
surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative staff. Time management,
flexibility, and adaptability to changing case demands.
