accounts. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING (ESSENTIAL DUTIES) … We are
currently seeking a Master’s Level Clinician or Licensed Registered
Nurse to provide community and office based emergency services for
individuals and families of all ages. Preference will be given to
Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHP), but NMH will provide
the training and assist with the certification process for
individuals who are eligible to become QMHP’s. A Crisis
Stabilization Clinician plays a pivotal role in providing immediate
mental health and crisis intervention services. They ensure timely
and effective responses to crisis while promoting safety and
well-being in the community. The Clinician will provide the
following services and referrals: Mobile and In-Office Crisis
Response. Crisis management and stabilization Clinical assessment
Risk assessment Continued engagement and connection to follow up
services Intake assessments as needed. Essential Duties: Providing
crisis intervention and stabilization services to individuals.
Responding to crisis calls and emergencies in the community
promptly and effectively. Attend assigned in-person meetings.
Conducting thorough assessments of individuals in crisis to
determine their immediate needs and level of risk. Responsible for
conducting comprehensive clinical and risk assessments. Advocating
for individuals in crisis to ensure they receive timely and
appropriate care. This includes continued engagement and follow-up
services. Documenting all assessments, interventions, and referrals
accurately and comprehensively. Requirements: WHAT WE EXPECT OF
YOU… Master’s degree in human services field or Licensure as a
Registered Nurse Licensed at the independent practice level as
defined by the Rhode Island Department of Health (LICSW) preferred.
LCSW and LMHC will also be considered. Minimum of 2 years of
employment experience in community health, crisis stabilization
unit, or inpatient psychiatric settings, or like field experience 2
or more years of experience working with individuals with trauma
and substance abuse issues. Credentialed or eligible to be
credentialed as a Qualified Mental Health Professional through the
Department of BHDDH within 2 months of employment. Ability to
diagnose using DSM 5 criteria. Has knowledge base and can access
all resources for hospitalization and crisis stabilization/hospital
diversion. Caring and empathetic, with exceptional communication
skills for interaction with a variety of individuals Self-motivated
with the ability to work independently and in an organized manner.
Ability to work with clients who may exhibit unsafe, high-risk
behaviors. Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation to
