preferred. Inpatient surgical experience required. Description:
ASAP start needed. Manager interviews will be conducted. BLS and
ACLS certifications are required. Every other weekend availability
is necessary. Patient types include adults only, such as CHF, COPD,
Stroke, IVDA, ETOH withdrawal, cellulitis, abdominal pain,
myocardial infarctions, electrolyte imbalances, diabetes,
post-operative joints, urological, spines, vascular, general
abdominal, GYN, and breast cases. The patient ratio is 1:4 to 1:5
during the day and 1:5 to 1:6 at night for RNs. In intermediate
care, the ratio is 1:3. Required skills include cardiac drip
management, cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV starts, management of
chest tubes, trach care, and central line/PICC line care. Support
on the unit includes a charge RN Monday through Friday during the
day, with free floating options; weekends and nights will take an
assignment. CNA numbers vary based on census. RT and hospitalists
are available 24/7, with an intensivist available for consult 24/7.
Technology used includes EMR and specific monitoring equipment.
Float staff may be required to float to surgical, medical,
telemetry, observation units, and intermediate care. Scheduling is
done approximately every four weeks, with holiday expectations
applied as needed. Professional scrubs are required, and any color
