Position Details: RN ED- Newport, VT Location : Newport, VT 05855 Project Duration : 13-week contract Shift : Night shift Job Description: Department Description The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to individuals experiencing acute illness or injury. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients across all age groups in a fast-paced emergency setting while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes. Key Responsibilities Perform rapid and accurate patient assessments, prioritizing care based on acuity Provide direct nursing care to emergency patients, including trauma, cardiac, medical, and behavioral health cases Initiate and manage IVs, administer medications, and monitor patient responses Assist with emergency procedures, resuscitation efforts, and trauma activations Utilize emergency equipment such as cardiac monitors, defibrillators, and ventilators Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Collaborate effectively with physicians, charge nurses, and support staff in a high-pressure environment Required Qualifications Active, unencumbered RN license (state-specific or compact, as applicable) 3-5 years of recent Emergency Department (ER) experience BLS (AHA) certification required ACLS (AHA) certification required PALS and/or TNCC preferred (may be required depending on facility) Strong critical-thinking, multitasking, and communication skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment To discuss this amazing opportunity, reach out to our Talent Acquisition Specialist Ritika Sharma at email address can be reached on (630) 576-1938 .
