Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work on a 36-bed adult surgical unit caring primarily for trauma and acute care surgical patients • RN patient ratios: 1:4 during days, 1:5 during nights • LNA patient ratios: 1:12 • Fast-paced environment with Level I Trauma center experience preferred or several years at Level II Trauma center • Minimum 1.5 years of recent equivalent experience required • Care for trauma patients including spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and orthopedic trauma injuries • Manage acute care surgical patients with conditions such as hernia repair, small bowel obstructions, appendectomy, and cholecystectomy • Required experience with chest tubes, various drips (Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, amiodarone), lines/tubes/drains for post-surgical patients • Must be experienced with trachs/laryngectomies, telemetry monitoring, complex wound care • Central line care, maintenance, and blood draws required • Unit includes 2 negative pressure rooms • Required credentials: NH RN License or Compact License (proof of state residency required), BLS certification Facility: This medical center operates a high-acuity surgical unit specializing in trauma and acute care surgical services.
