Vascular Access Team Registered Nurse Location Not specified Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule / Shift 12-hour rotating shifts (Day/Night), primarily days with flexibility to rotate to nights. Every other weekend required. Typically, one week of nights followed by a week of days, with possible mid-week rotations. Job Description The Vascular Access Team RN is responsible for providing high-quality care in the placement and management of vascular access devices. The RN will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to assess patient needs and ensure effective interventions. Responsibilities Assess and manage vascular access devices including PIVs, PICCs, and ports. Perform dressing changes and administer thrombolytic therapy (TPA) as needed. Provide clinical support, troubleshooting vascular access devices when necessary. Document patient care accurately and timely using Epic EMR. Collaborate with other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure BLS certification required. Prior travel experience preferred. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant specialty required. Strong IV skills, AVA Certification, and PICC skills are essential. Must have Level 1 Trauma experience in the past year.
