Job Description:
Food Services Manager for Seniors in Cambridge, MA We are
seeking a dedicated and skilled Food Services Manager to oversee
the operation of a congregate-based meals program for older adults
in Cambridge. As part of our Council on Aging's strategy to
encourage seniors to gather in a safe and welcoming environment,
the manager will plan healthy menus, purchase fresh foods, and
prepare and serve meals with exceptional customer service. In
addition, the manager will collaborate with Nutrition Department
Staff at Somerville Cambridge Elder Services, supervise kitchen
staff, and ensure local health and safety standards are met.
Qualified Candidates will possess: * An Associate degree with three
to five years of related work experience * Serv-Safe Certification,
Allergy Awareness, Choke Safe, and CPR knowledge and training *
Knowledge of food handling and proper sanitation practices in food
preparation and cooking * Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in
fast-paced kitchen environment * Supervisory experience of kitchen
staff and experience in overseeing budget and operations * Strong
MS Office skills * Ability to work and interact effectively with
individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds Salary/Benefits:
$58,974 to $69,940 annually + competitive benefits, including
health, dental, and vision insurance, vacation, personal and sick
days, sick incentive pay eligibility, management bonus, and City
