currently seeking a robotic controls engineer to join our team. We
are looking for a creative and collaborative person who thrive s in
a n agile development environment. This role contributes to a
talented team of roboticists working on our Symbot mobile robot.
The team is primarily responsible to develop solutions to the
challenges in handling diverse individual cases in a warehouse
environment with high reliability. Not only are technical
contribution s expected, but the role also requires excellent
communication skills, and the ability to collaborate in a highly
cross-functional environment. In This Role Design ing , develop ing
, and implement ing control strategies for mobile , case handling
robotsDeveloping robotic control software in a diverse team of
roboticists and software engineers .Meeting project commitments and
delivering high quality releases.Collaborating with other
engineering teams on planning, design, and development for
releases.C ontribut ing to architecture and design discussions.Imp
lementing path planning and navigationImplementing AMQP messaging
with system controlsImplementing Behavior Trees for robot state
controlDeveloping algorithms for picking and placing casesImproving
the reliability and testability of our software codebaseTuning
motor controllers and evaluating robot performanceTroubleshoot
system problems in production or design by investigating issues
related to product performance or production difficultiesWhat
You'll Need Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer
Engineering, or related discipline.Knowledge of C++ Embedded coding
and design patterns, suitable for real time environments.Knowledge
of real time or embedded operating systems and threading and
communication issues related to real time operating systems .E
xperience with software process and version control tools .Good
written and verbal communication skills with the ability to
