Research Analyst (Communications)

Company: Industrial Economics, Inc
Location: Arlington
Posted on: November 18, 2021

Job Description:

IEc is seeking individuals with a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) to join our firm as a Communications Research Analyst (RA). Consulting work at IEc requires skills including paying close attention to detail, asking questions, identifying potential solutions when challenges arise, and recommending next steps to move a project forward. RAs must independently manage their time to meet deadlines and be able to both work independently and contribute to a project team. Candidates for this position should also be able to concisely organize and present information, and be comfortable communicating to staff at all levels within the firm by written and verbal means.

At this time, we are looking for candidates with exceptional skills to support a range of projects through tasks such as:

Coordinating the planning, organization, and collection of documents to support litigation and public records requirements.
Supporting the organization, collection, and disposition of public comments.
Assisting with developing reports and tracking tools.
Developing materials and providing organizational, logistics, notetaking, and planning support for multi-stakeholder meetings.
Maintaining schedules and calendars.
Planning and hosting project teams and client-focused conference calls and meetings.

The Communications Research Analyst must demonstrate academic experience in at least one of a wide range of disciplines relevant to IEc's work including but not limited to English, communications, government, history, economics, public policy, ecology, and other environmental sciences.

Research Analysts are eligible for promotion to Senior Research Analyst. Because most advanced positions at IEc require a graduate degree, RAs and Senior RAs often depart for graduate school or other career opportunities after working at IEc for approximately two to four years.

Position Type: Full Time
Position Start Date: Immediate

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or equivalent international degree in a relevant field (see above). If you have a graduate degree, please apply for the Associate position and not the RA position.

When applying, you must upload the following documents:

Cover Letter
Undergraduate Transcript
Writing Sample - this should be authored solely by you, be no more than 5 pages in length (can be an excerpt from a longer paper).

If the recruiting committee is interested in pursuing your application, we will contact you directly after September 27 to set up a screening interview.
