Job Description:
As a participant on the HealthRules Payor (HRP) Configuration
Team, the Configuration Analyst will work collectively to achieve
the successful implementation and on-going maintenance of HRP (the
core claims administration platform). The Configuration Analyst
will play a key role in analyzing requirements, building
configuration components in HRP, and supporting testing of the
system. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Using an agile approach, analyze requirements, research
business and system impacts of requirements, define possible
configuration options, implement business approved approach,
configure system and support user testing of system
configuration.
- Develop a deep understanding of the Health Rules Payor system
capabilities for assigned functional area (such as Benefits,
Provider Contracts, Members, and Claims) and evaluate requirements
to determine the best configuration design.
- Support integration and business process activities that
utilize configuration as part of the end-to-end solution to meet
business requirements. Creating and/or maintaining testing
processes to ensure that configuration changes are implemented
correctly and do not adversely affect processing in all operational
areas, including: Checking results of test batches against
predetermined expected values; Routinely and on an ad hoc basis
generating specific test claims to target specific areas of the
configuration that have been altered; Adhering to quality control
processes for, benefits, code sets, referral/auth rules, and
contract configuration processes.
- Provide analysis and documentation that supports on-going
management of the configuration including documentation of design,
decisions, and requirements in order to support traceability and
audits. Qualifications what you need to perform the job EDUCATION:
(Minimum education & certifications required)
- Bachelors degree required. Certification in medical coding is a
plus. EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years minimum experience in Health Insurance or delivery
with a working knowledge in one or more operational areas including
Claims processing, Provider Credentialing & Reimbursement, Product
& Benefit Design, Enrollment, or Medical Code sets.
- Experience as business analyst or system configuration analyst
is required with the ability to gather, document, test and
implement business requirements. SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- The successful candidate must be able to work cooperatively as
a team member, possess a strong ability to analyze complex business
problems and develop design options, adapt to change, and clearly
communicate.
- Knowledge and experience with Medicare payment methodologies,
healthcare claims, and claims adjudication required. Medicaid and
other commercial billing requirements and payment methodologies is
preferred.
- Must have the analytical skills necessary to understand the
current data structure and operational processes within HRP to
identify opportunities for improvement, as well as be able to
suggest ways to address business gaps.
- Deep knowledge of one or more configuration areas (such as
Claims, Provider, Enrollment, Benefits)
- Detailed oriented.
- Ability to write effective communications. CONFIDENTIAL DATA:
