X and YouTube. Job Description Purpose: As a translational
scientist in Precision Medicine Neuroscience bridges basic brain
and nervous system research and clinical applications, focusing on
developing biological and disease insights for neurological and
psychiatric disorders. Responsibilities: Uncover neurobiological
mechanisms of disease that elucidate patient subtypes; mechanisms
of action, response, or resistance, and advance the development of
novel interventions. Develop testable hypotheses related to
neurobiological pathways, neuronal circuitry, cognitive or
behavioral domains, or functional markers of disease or patient
subtypes that will advance pipeline and disease area goals.
Collaborate with PMed DAS leads and other functional leads, develop
and execute / drive execution of operationally-sound approach and
generate actionable outcomes. Shape and enhance efforts in human
neuroscience, including promoting research synergies with other
areas of R&D, aligned to disease area strategic goals. Drive
scientific strategy for translational biomarker development and
discovery target validation / MOA projects. Lead the design of
clinically translational experiments in collaboration with PMED,
clinical leads, or discovery research translational teams that
achieve disease area strategic goals. Establish external
collaborations to augment internal translational efforts and expand
experimental design options. Ensure quality and effectiveness of
major project plans within precision medicine through sound design
and early risk assessment. Advance clinical translational efforts
through alignment with relevant stakeholders and leadership, and
navigation of current and emerging business challenges to goal
achievement. Communicate scientific expertise and learnings by
proactively advising and knowledge-sharing with subordinates,
peers, and senior management. Source and leverage relevant emerging
scientific trends from inside and outside the organization to keep
pace with and advance standards in the field of translational
neuroscience. Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Science related
field with 20 years of related work; Masters Degree Science with 14
years of related work; PhD or equivalent professional terminal
degrees (or PharmD/MD) in Science or related field with 10 years of
related work experience. Relevant biology, target validation, and
biomarker research experience in the areas of neural circuits,
functional domains in clinical sciences using clinical science
approaches (e.g., cognitive, emotional, behavioral), liquid-based
methods, or structural and functional imaging. Expert in one/at
least one. Knowledge of the drug development process and how
clinical translation fits within this Proven track record of
integration in the drug development process having advanced one or
more assets beyond. Proven leadership ability to direct, lead, and
learn from cross-functional teams. Strong presentation skills
required, with the ability to present data successfully to
scientists and nonscientists. Tests new innovations and manages to
